Privacy Policy

What you share, what your browser sends and the choices you can make.

Page updated

Before You Start

This policy explains the information involved when you browse Oppsila, take a quiz or use a photo effect. The information needed depends on the feature you choose.

  • A page visit sends technical information to the services that deliver it.
  • Photo effects can send your selected image to a processing service outside your browser.
  • Some features use browser storage. Analytics and advertising services may use cookies or similar technologies.

You can read text-based content without choosing to upload a photo. Before submitting an image, read the instructions for that effect.

Information Involved In Your Visit

What You Choose To Provide

A feature may ask for quiz answers, a name, a birthday, an image or other inputs shown on the page. If you contact us through an available channel, your message may include your email address and any details or attachments you send.

What Your Browser Sends

When your browser requests a page or file, it sends technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Hosting, content delivery, analytics and advertising services may also receive information about page requests and interactions.

What Stays On Your Device

Some result features use your browser’s local storage. Services loaded on the site may also use cookies or similar technologies. Clearing cookies alone may leave local storage behind; use your browser’s site-data controls to manage both.

Photo Uploads And Generated Results

A photo effect that requires an upload sends the selected file and the effect’s inputs to an image-processing service. That service generates a result, which the page retrieves for you.

Upload only images you have permission to use. Avoid photos containing sensitive information or people who have not agreed to this use.

Closing the page or deleting your browsing history does not remove an uploaded file or processing record by itself. The Data Removal guide explains the difference between clearing browser data and requesting removal of information held by a service.

How Information Is Used

Information is used to deliver pages and results, run interactive features, understand site use, display advertising where enabled, and address messages or technical problems.

Uploading a photo is a separate action from reading a page. Different features involve different information, so check what a page asks for before submitting it.

Analytics, Advertising And Other Services

Oppsila includes integrations for Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google advertising. Which services are active depends on the site’s configuration and the feature you use. External image-processing, font and content-delivery services may also receive requests from your browser.

Providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. For Google services, read Google’s Privacy Policy or manage preferences through Google’s advertising controls.

Links to other websites take you outside this policy. Review their privacy information before providing details there.

Retention And Your Choices

Browser storage is controlled through your browser settings. Downloaded files stay where you save them until you delete them.

Retention outside your browser depends on the information and the service processing it. Do not assume an upload is deleted as soon as a result appears. For a question about a particular upload, prepare the details listed in the Data Removal guide and check Contact Us for an available contact channel.

  • Manage cookies, site data and permissions in your browser settings.
  • Choose not to upload a photo, or leave an effect before submitting your inputs.
  • Use the relevant provider’s controls for advertising and other external services.
  • Request access to information, correction or deletion where those rights apply to you.

Some choices may affect how a feature works. Your rights and any exceptions depend on applicable law.

Children And Sensitive Information

Don’t use quizzes or photo effects to submit sensitive personal information. If you are a parent or guardian concerned that a child has supplied personal information, keep the relevant page link and the details needed to identify the concern, then check our contact page for an available channel.

Entertainment results are not medical or psychological assessments. Don’t use them to make decisions about someone’s health or wellbeing.
